Frequently asked questions
How is webcam FPS measured?
We count the video frames actually delivered to the page each second (using requestVideoFrameCallback where available), rather than trusting the configured frame rate.
Why does my webcam FPS drop?
Low light is the most common cause: cameras lengthen exposure and lower FPS. CPU load, USB hubs and other camera apps can also reduce it.
