Use your webcam as an online mirror

Allow camera access and your live mirrored image appears above. You can use it while applying makeup, fixing your hair, putting in contact lenses, checking your glasses or making a final clothing check before a call. Place your device at eye level and face a window or lamp for the clearest view.

Mirror or unmirrored view

The mirror opens horizontally flipped, just like a normal mirror. Select Unmirror when you want to read text or see the view other people would see on a video call. If the image is dark, grainy or out of focus, the live checks can help you improve the lighting and camera position.

Check your camera before a call

Frequently asked questions

Why does an online mirror need camera permission?

Your browser requires permission before a website can show your camera preview. Select Allow when prompted so the mirrored image can appear.

Why does text look backwards in the mirror?

A mirror reverses the image horizontally, so text appears backwards. Select Unmirror if you need to read labels or see how the image looks to other people.

How can I make the online mirror brighter?

Face a window or place a lamp behind your screen so the light falls evenly on your face. Avoid a bright window directly behind you.

Can I switch between the front and back camera?

Yes. When your browser detects more than one camera, use the camera selector or Switch button below the mirror.

Why is the mirror blurry?

Clean the camera lens, add more light and hold still while the camera focuses. Some built-in webcams also have a fixed focus distance.

Which browsers support the online mirror?

Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari support camera access over a secure HTTPS connection.
